Yours so very Truly...JiwanJot Kaur, HarJot, and Beautiful Little SatJot!!!
I have incredibly fond memories from my Raw Spirit Fest experiences and I look forward to this year's as well. It has been incredibly inspiring to me in so many ways, and I am truly impressed with your operation and efforts. I hope in your "passing of the torch" you find folks to continue with the fabulous energy Raw Spirit held. I remember one year going up to Harmony Festival in Santa Rosa afterwards and, despite it being a lot of fun, thinking that the massive, unspoken love from Raw Spirit was almost nowhere to be found in that group. Amazing the power of live foods to create effortless harmony between people. And you guys did a wonderful job in creating a space for all of us to experience that.
Much love to you and yours,
D
"Transformation, Inspiration and Community! Being overweight my entire life, and after 30 failed diet attempts, my weight skyrocketed to 400 lbs. After switching to a 100% raw food lifestyle 2 years ago, and completing a 100-day juice feast, I have lost nearly 200 lbs, literally cutting my weight in half. One of my greatest joys was attending last years Raw Spirit Festival. The raw food community that is growing is such a warm, beautiful, loving and supportive family. I have maintained close contact with many of the friends that I met last year, and visit them regularly. If you've been contemplating the raw lifestyle, or looking for additional support, amazing friends, and the best speakers in the world, come and be inspired, and meet me at the Raw Spirit Festival!"
"That was seriously and without a doubt, outside of the birth of my four children and the marriage to my beautiful loving husband, THE MOST SENSATIONAL AMAZING EXCEPTIONAL AND FANTASTIC UNREAL experience I have ever had! Wow!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for including me...I will continue to speak about the most AMAZING unreal event EVER! As David Wolfe would say that was undoubtedly THE BEST EVENT EVER!!! My assistant Danielle and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for every waking moment of every second of it!!! Peace, love and Raw Living.

"Totally crazy, unbelievably high vibrational time of your life. You will never feel more happy, healthy and energized. I guarantee you that the energy of this festival will scoop you off your feet, no matter how heavy and down-trodden they are, and grant you the gift of gossamer wings. When you leave this three day event you will never have felt so weightless in your life, and you will know how to fly. In fact, you will be gifted with priceless knowledge of how to survive in perfect health even in our polluted environments. You will see a new possibility of how communities can thrive. You will meet faces and eyes and smiles that will change your life. You will never forget the time you spend at Raw Spirit Festival - it will transform you forever."

"Hey, thank you for the refund and letting us serve at the festival. We were blessed with many more raw friends just because of your festival. We are both on the move to spread the raw food movement. Please check our video out below and help us win a vita mix so that we can go on the road this year and visit every raw food potluck we can to talk about raw food and of course help selling the vita mix. Without you and your festival we would have never gotton this far on our journey. We have been able to get a crew working on bringing you and Raw Spirit Festival to Florida. I am the lady with a lot of energy!!!
Thank you again for all your personal help. You have always been an inspiration to me. I would have never done the video 3 years ago at 325 lbs. I am now 115 and Steve at 290 lbs is now 155 with no more diabetes and no more of those 20 drugs we were taking - in fact we take nothing and only the best organic coconut oil goes on our skin. When I met you at the festival I was so impressed with your skin and the care you take. We both lost our jobs 10 months because of our change of lifestyle, but what a fabulous journey it is. We are so blessed, and both are working on trying to sell the vita mixes to have a way to spread the raw seeds more this year. You are a positive movement in our lives."

"I had an amazing opportunity to experience the Raw Spirit Retreat on Maui for the 2010 New Year. In my 25 years of presenting my teachings of AcroSage (a unique form of inversion therapy) at events around the world, the Raw Spirit Retreat was truly a highlight for me. I was delighted and inspired to witness, first hand, that there is a new era of conscious festivals happening where one can celebrate our gifts and each other without the use of alcohol or drugs in an atmosphere peace & joy! The presenters and the knowledge shared, I feel, is so needed now if we are going to make the nessesary shifts needed restore our ailing planet. Thank you sooooooo much Happy Oasis for your courage and vision.
Benjamin Marantz, Founder and Director of the Marantz School of AcroSage www.acrosage.org "My Being resonates with you. I send you hugs, love and good vibrations. I hold visions of your success, beauty, and abundance. Thank you for the work you do."

Hi Happy,
Just a note to say I so appreciate the invitation to the potluck. It was great! Really nice to reconnect and see what you're doing. I'm most amazed at the musicians you're able to pull together as well as the folks who showed up. Now you've got me quite curious about the raw food movement.
Warm saludos,
Carla

"You have NO IDEA how much it meant to me that you gave me the Golden Chopsticks Award this year! I was BLOWN AWAY...It's like you sensed a Maturing shift in me or something... I have let go of a lot of attachments that I have had.
I was just sitting at my booth eating and everyone just started screaming at me that I had to go up on stage. Whoa!!!I
didn't get to hear what you said so I kept asking various people, and they told me things like:
- I give to the Raw Foods Movement without expecting anything in return
- Lovely stuff about Angela
I wish that I had it on tape and heard it all.I just wanted to say thank you very much for noticing the good in me.Smiles and a Tear,"Matt Monarch

http://maureenfreehill.com"I will definitely be going to the raw spirit festival. It is only and hour and a half away from my house. Its remarkable that you are having a raw food festival right near where I live. Wow. ................."
Janet Aichele (Joy)"HOW EXCITING! This past year was my 1st event exhibiting and it was phenomenal! I'll be a raw spirit vendor forever!"
Bethanne Wanamaker“Magic happened when Scott Huckaby came on stage.....Wow....the dancing was amazing. Needless to say, grounding in the sunset meditation that evening was so deep, so empty, so luminous as we tuned into our true natures of luminous clear blue sky minds and amplified heart fields. Wow! Jasmuheen was so grounded, so articulate, so radiating of health and vitality. Thanks and praises.”
Liz Faller"Good Tidings Everybody!
My husband and I have been living here at The Happy Oasis, Raw Spirit Festival's Staff Retreat, where we are helping organize Raw Spirit Fest . We are grateful to Ms Happy Heavenly Oasis that she accepted us as her assistants in this great task. We have a cute apartment here with sun room and indoor garden in the main house. Upstairs live four conscious raw vegans who all are of good character and loving kindness. Happy herself is a wonderful employer, hostess and friend. She always radiates positive energy and enthusiasm. It is a good vibe to live here
Raw Spirit Festival is a great outreach to make a difference in the world. Being raw vegan is a choice, a pro-life choice which heals people from sick conditions, bodily as well mentally. By advocating raw foods through the Raw Spirit Festival we can all make an inspiring, lasting impact on society at large. Living foods, eco-sustainability, natural medicine and spirituality are all inseparable. It teaches people to be kind to each other and to the animals. Arriving from an ashram background (my husband and I lived in Hare Krishna Temples for seven years), we especially appreciate the spiritual inclination and awareness of Happy Oasis. We wish to publicly thank her for giving us the opportunity to live and serve here and to help to make a difference in the world. Thank you, Happy. You are our good friend."
Chaitanya & Jayisri"I know how much effort goes on behind the scenes to coordinate such a massive event, and I appreciate every ounce that was put in by the dedicated and loving souls that pulled the festival together. I remain in awe. THANK YOU. I was also blessed, whilst waiting to have copies of Amazing Grace signed, to witness how patient and present David Wolfe is within his interactions with people and their yearning for knowledge. I was a fan before, but now I am A FAN. Nick Good also touched me with his generosity, presence and energy. Oh, and the food of the festival was AMAZING, every bite."
Michelle Purnel"Hi Happy, Congrats on the Wonder Filled Raw Spirit Fest. Everyone I talked to said it was so inspiring! Thanks, you're doing it for all of us!"

Mike"I thank all of you for your hospitality, love, and affection."
HRM"Wow, what a country - I don't think I've ever seen such a mix of beauty in such a way before. Sedona is rich in energy as the vortexes here are so profound. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful and the richness of creativity truly outstanding. Art galleries abound with the most powerful work plus shops overflow with diverse textiles, jewelry and more. The Raw Spirit Festival is filled with the healthiest looking faces with glowing skin, clear eyes and big grinned people from all backgrounds and ages who mill about the various stalls or take food together on the grass as they listen to a huge line up of enthusiastic speakers. While many have come here to celebrate their life as raw foodists, others have been on the path for so long they are now ready for something new."
Jasmuheen"You did a great job with food AND parking. I met some people in line for meals who I'm still in touch with – we never would have met otherwise.
Suki Zoe“I enjoyed the experience of being at the Raw Food Festival very much; I found the people to be lovely, adventurous and open and I found it to be a very inspirational place to be, indeed!”
Kathy Zavada“The 2007 Raw Food Fest was my first and not my last. It was the most amazing 3 days. Maybe we can even make it longer as the years go on. Those 3 days lasted for 2 weeks emotionally and mentally on a high of sorts. The food at the festival was divine, the speakers were so inspirational and the music was wonderful. I really enjoyed Kathy Zavada, wow, I play her music every day and use it with a meditation class I do daily. The workshops were wonderful too. It was a beautiful location; the peace was beyond human understanding. The people I met from all over the world were amazing, we all had one thing in common-love, and oneness and the stories are still with me. Happy New Year and beyond....”
Sat Nam“I want to thank you for the amazing time at the festival recently. I had a profound experience with all the lectures and learning about the foods, etc. I can't wait to come back next year and I am planning to bring a large group of people with me, maybe 35 or more from Oregon.”
Sentient Star“I am most grateful for all the work you have put into making Raw Spirit such a success! I’m happy to contribute in any way I am able. Looking forward to next year.”

Nadine High up in the Himalayas on my deathbed with pneumonia I discovered the vital force of raw vegan foods. For two months, ayurvedic and allopathic doctors had been advising me to eat more curd and drink more milk while on a prescribed course of antibiotics. During a brief bout of consciousness, I grabbed a bedside book called Yogic Cures To Common Diseases, which miraculously opened to the subject of pneumonia. The yogic author recommended a vegetable juice fast; this felt right and I immediately partook. Within hours, I felt the tingling, healing effects of fresh vegetable juice, and for three fascinating days I lay in bed alert, witnessing the pneumonia gradually recede from the limbs to the core of my stomach as it reversed into bronchitis, then merely a cold, until all traces of illness evaporated entirely, leaving me feeling clearer, happier, lighter and brighter than I'd ever previously experienced.
While leading mountaineering trips in the Himalayas, I began experimenting with this sacred body temple as a scientific research laboratory, and via fasting on cold blue mountain stream water and raw vegan foraged trail-side vegetation coupled with vigorous alpine exercise, I observed my chronic fatigue, arthritis and diabetes soon reverse, and the remnants of typhoid fever and tuberculosis disappear. For the next seven years, while traveling deliciously slowly, mostly by foot, with a backpack through the hinterlands of Asia, for the first time, I enjoyed a body free of illness on a simple raw vegan diet, something most travelers claim is impossible to do in the orient. I carried a light wooden salad bowl as do mendicant yogis and monks, and my daily fare was picked in the wild or bartered from farmers who i encountered at tiny farmers markets or occasional wilderness farms along the trails.
Friendly tribal farmers would often invite me to hike home with them where I would sometimes stay for months. In forgotten paradises far from the throng of humanity, I was adopted by loving families who taught me their languages, their ways, and how to thrive by growing gardens and walking long distances to forage for rare native vegetable delicacies and preventative herbal medicines while visiting ancient half-buried Buddhist stupas or sacred Shiva pilgrimage sites, which were usually steep, austere mountain peaks with nobody there but the holy howling wind, after joyous days of crossing verdant valleys and climbing through floribundant gorges cut by rushing rivers teeming with hanging ferns and waterfalls.
We lived off the grid with no thoughts of solar panels or refrigerators or tv, since my families had no reference to these. Instead, we awoke to the sunshine who powered us, had no need for refrigeration since our growing supermarket surrounded us, and far more engaging than television, everyone told-a-vision as each child was taught to sing, to dance and tell stories for endless evenings of laughter and merriment around the fire or cuddled together under shared blankets beneath the stars or moon. Life was sweetly idyllic, moving slowly from season to heartfelt season until each family who adopted me over the years became forcefully invaded in various ways by those wanting their land, their food and happiness, remarkably similar to the portrayal in The Avatar movie. The first times I organized serving raw foods was to the stranded surviving members of my adopted families at countryside refugee camps and orphanages.
Seven adventurous years had passed since the pneumonia. I was a Buddhist lay nun abiding at a jungle monastery in Thailand, and it was New Year's Eve. Beneath the light of the full moon, I journaled about the many blessings of the year, then prayed for the highest aspirations worthy for living another new year. I gave thanks for the gifts of outstanding health, remarkable joy and unusual strength, which I traced back to the fateful pneumonia which proved to be a boon, as the Chinese adage concurs: "Those who experience serious illness once, grow healthier and live longer than those who know no illness."
At midnight while meditating into the new year, I saw vast portions of humanity, just like me, needlessly filling hospitals and doctors’ offices, and amidst the boddhisattva monastic ambience rose a new compassion that silently inspired me to return to America to start a festival for all of humanity about not only organic raw vegan foods, but also about the intrinsic importance of really living via embracing nature, foraging, gardening, giving, storytelling, singing, dancing, listening, loving, laughing, stretching, meditating, wondering, praying, co-creating and communing with kindness, family, community and fun-filled celebration moment after miraculous moment.
I was thusly inspired to found the Raw Spirit Festival Inc, a 501c3 educational non profit. It grew from 150 participants in the first year to 2500 two years later. In 2009, more than 6000 people attended Raw Spirit Festivals and Potluck Celebrations. The touching friendships, funloving conversations, touching thank you letters, inspiring Raw Spirit stories, songs, poems, humorous quips, insights, raw vegan treats, books, cds, generous donations, and Raw Spirit-inspired marriages, babies, jobs, and companies born from those participants who have undergone life-enhancing transformations are a few of the affirmations that continue to enthuse me to continue on this wonderful lifepath, despite the long hours and volunteer position.
This year's festival at Watson Lake Park in Arizona's Granite Dells is one I am looking forward to, not only for the stunningly-beautiful landscape, but for the unprecedented stellar lineup. The sixth annual Raw Spirit Festival is a full three-day event featuring two stages (Lake and Meadow Stages) with mixed world-class musical performers and dynamic health-eco-peace research presenters amidst gorgeous natural backdrops. Additionally, the Sacred Exercise Area (featuring an eclectic array of yoga, chi kung, tai chi, pranayama, poetry, prayers, meditation and beyond) is perched atop the lakeside cliff with spectacular vistas of the jagged lake, it's surreal sheer-rock shores and many islands. Scrumptious Raw Vegan Demos and Tastings are in the Hilltop Pagoda with sweeping vistas of panoramic mountains. Plus, we've added acoustic jam areas, spontaneous sharing circles, campfires, healing and massage areas, a full kids' program, quiet temple spaces, an organic farmers' market, and an exciting display of innovative educational vendors with a focus on healthy living, community, ecology, peace, inspired inventions, music, dancing, poetry, art, nature and the world's largest organic raw vegan restaurant court. We are anticipating this year's festival to be the largest and loveliest ever with the most eclectic array of fantastic foods, philosophies, and fabulous friends. Plus, for the first time ever, Raw Spirit is offering post-festival activities: On Monday Sept 27th, 2010 is the all-day Volunteer Clean Up Party with Volunteer Awards Dinner at 6pm; On Tuesday Sept 28th, Guided Tour To Sedona; On Wednesday Sept 29th, Meditation, Yoga and Singing Retreat: On Thursday Sept 30th - Sunday October 3rd, Swim, Hike and/or Helicopter into Arizona's hidden Caribbean paradise: Havasupai Village, the Havasu Falls and miles of stunning swimming pools deep inside the Grand Canyon.
